Varsity Volleyball at Fountain Hills

The Lady Falcons opened their Region play tonight, traveling to Fountain Hills to take on the #1 ranked team in the state. The Falcons hung tough against the best team they’ve seen this year before succumbing in three games. Juniors Julia Burke and Jaci Norton each had a kill and three digs, while Freshman Abby Rice led all servers with her first career ace.  The Falcons play their 3rd game in as many days, Thursday at Joy Christian, and return home next Tuesday to host Scottsdale Prep. “Tonight I was very proud of how the girls came together and played like a team. They were unfazed when things didn’t go their way, they just kept fighting and played for each other. It was amazing to watch,” said Coach Walsh.
