Jr. High Softball vs Chandler Prep – Playoffs

In the first round of the playoffs, the Falcons faced Chandler Prep who they had narrowly beaten in the first game of the season. Pitcher Reyna Gil and catcher Chloe Santini played a great game, striking out seven and they were backed up by multiple putouts by the infield, especially first baseman Abby Rice, but North Pointe struggled to get things going at bat and they lost 2-1. “We had a great season, and I am proud of the growth the girls all showed this season.” said Coach Stephenson.

Jr. High Softball at Odyssey

8th grader Reyna Gil did an incredible job pitching against a strong Odyssey team, striking out six and forcing multiple pop-ups for outs, and she was supported in the field with put-outs from 7th graders Chloe Santini at catcher, Tiahna Newman in left field, and Abby Rice at first base. Together, they held Odyssey to three runs in six innings, but a hard single by Mia Felix and runs by Abby Rice and Summer Howell were not quite enough for North Pointe, and they lost 3-2. “We didn’t win, but the girls played really well and showed they can stand strong against a tough team. That’s a victory in itself,” said Coach Stephenson
