Jr. High Golf Championship Meet at McDowell Mountain Golf Club

Today the Falcons competed in the Great Hearts MS Golf Championship at McDowell Mountain Golf Club. Adam Boyd finished in the top ten with a score of 44. He also won the long drive competition which won him a prize. “Both Adam and Jared finished the year strong.  I was able to see Adam chip in for an eagle on his first hole, which was very exciting. I’m looking forward to seeing where their golf game goes from here,” sad Coach Kontak.

Jr. High Golf vs Chandler Prep

Tonight the Falcons played a match against Chandler Prep at Ken McDonald Golf Course. Adam Boyd was the low player through six holes, finishing as medalist. Jared Reeves also led the Falcons with a top four finish. “The course was very difficult today because they just reopened after overseeding. The greens were very slow but our kids fought through it. I was happy with the way they carried themselves,” said Coach Kontak.

Jr. High Golf at Encanto Golf Course

The Falcons hosted a dual meet against Veritas Prep. There were 9 total players, 2 of which were from the Prep. Adam Boyd was low scorer from North Pointe with a 51. Adam finished 5th out of 9 players. “Both Adam and Jared really competed today. I was happy to see them fight through the tough spots and finish strong. We have two more matches this season and there is no doubt both players are getting better.”

Jr. High Golf at 500 Club

Today the Falcons traveled to the 500 Club to compete with Glendale Prep.  Adam Boyd was not only low score for North Pointe, but also took home low score honors for the entire match.  Adam’s score of 33 was good enough to beat all the other golfers who competed. Glendale Prep’s low scores were a pair of 34’s.  “It was great to see Adam go out there and compete with all of the other quality players.  I was really happy for him, he was able to hit some really good shots when all eyes were on him,” said Coach Kontak.

Jr. High Golf at Encanto Golf Course

Today the Falcons took on Trivium at Encanto Golf Course.  Low score for the Falcons was Adam Boyd with a 44, which was good for second place in the match.  Adam went toe to toe with the number one player from Trivium and came up just short on the last hole.  “Both of our players did very well for their first match this season.  Adam is a very good player and I know he will finish better in our next match,” said Coach Kontak. “Today was a lot of fun.”
