Freshman Boys Basketball vs Prescott

Tonight the Falcons lost to the Prescott Badgers 53 to 46. Oscar Moreno was the leading scorer for the Falcons with 13 points. “We played a really good game and you can definitely see the progress the team has made from the beginning of the season to these last two games.  The guys fought really hard tonight,” said Coach Pacitti

Freshman Boys Basketball vs Cortez HS

Tonight the Falcons played Cortez High School at home and lost 52-39. Leading scorer for the Falcons was Shane Morris with 9 points. Down by double digits during the third quarter, the Falcons fought back and made it a three point game with three minutes left. A couple missed shots and turnovers doomed the Falcons. “I am so proud of our guys, coming all the way back at the end with a chance to win. Hopefully we will learn from our mistakes and continue to become a better basketball team.,” said Coach Pacitti.

Freshman Boys Basketball at Bradshaw Mountain

The Falcons faced Bradshaw Mountain away today where they were handed a 47-25 loss despite competing hard and pressuring the ball the entire game. Shane Morris led the team in scoring with 11. “Despite the rough season the player’s declared that they keep working so that they would win a game for coach,” said Coach Huck.

Freshman Boys Basketball at Northwest Christian

The North Pointe Boys Freshman Basketball team traveled to Northwest Christian where they fell, 45-27. They came out to a slow start scoring only seven points in the first half and were never able to recover. Shane Morris led the team in scoring with 11 points. “With only 3 games left, we’re hoping we can pull out a win,” said Coach Huck.

Freshman Boys Basketball vs Glendale HS

The Falcons Boys Freshman team hosted Glendale today. After an initial lead in the 1st quarter, the Falcons quickly found themselves behind and although fighting tremendously the entire game, were unable to recapture the lead. In the end they had to settle for a disappointing 49-39 loss. Shane Morris once again led the team in scoring dropping 11. “The Falcons showed a marked improvement in defensive intensity and technique an example of which was earning 2 charge calls,” said Coach Huck.

Freshman Boys Basketball at North Canyon

The North Pointe Boys traveled to North Canyon where they played a tight game that ultimately lead to a disappointing defeat. Down eight points at halftime, the Falcons fought to within seven in the 4th quarter but had to settle for a 52-39 loss. Chase Morris once again led the team in scoring with 18 points, a season high. “The boys are ready to learn from their mistakes and move forward to our next game against Mingus,” said Coach Huck.

Freshman Boys Basketball vs Washington 

The Freshman Boys of North Pointe faced off against Washington at home today where they were handed a 66-23 defeat.  The team was unable to handle the half court trap and committed numerous turnovers which they unable to recover from.  Shane Morris and Oscar Rodriguez led the way in scoring with seven points each.  Coach Huck said, “Oscar stood out tonight with his desire to compete the entire game regardless of the score.”
