Varsity Football vs Fountain Hills

Homecoming Football Friday Night did not go as expected as our North Pointe Football team lost 50-0 to Fountain Hills HS. The bright spot of tonight was the 2nd half defense as our Falcons held Fountain Hills to one touchdown. Defensively, David Vargas led the team with five tackles and Joseph Faast followed with four tackles of his own. Travis Evans recovered the opening “pooch” kickoff by kicker Ali Al-Shiteawi. After the game Coach Norris said, “As I emphasized last week to our players, we are a young football team that is constantly learning. Tonight’s first half of football was littered with mental errors that we need to correct moving forward. We have a lot of young men that are playing football for the first time in their life, and I am proud of the effort we put forth in the 2nd half. Long term, these difficult games we are playing this season will benefit us in the future as I truly believe this football program is headed in the direction of greatness. Go Falcons!”
