Jr. High Boys Basketball – B Team at North Phoenix Prep

The North Pointe Prep Boys Basketball B Team had a head to head battle against the North Phoenix Prep Gladiators. This game was a tale of two halves as the game was knotted up at 14 at the end of the first half. Each team was going blow for blow with no team really taking an edge over the other. The beginning of the second half the Gladiators came out throwing the first blow by hitting a big 3-point shot. The Falcons withstood the blow and answered with a big three of their own. After this exchange the Falcons used their supreme defensive skills, that had set the tone all year long, and edged the Gladiators out by seven points, 28-21. Defensive efforts from the whole team collectively is what turned the game around for the Falcons. Although the tight defense is what ultimately won the game we had good offensive production from Juan Medina with team high 12 points and Oscar Molinar with five points. “Im proud of how the guys continued to battle through the entire game,” said Coach West.
