Quarterback Jayson Evans threw for 353 yards and ran for a touchdown Friday night displaying a new “high flying” Falcon passing attack versus Glendale. Wide receivers Toby Wiley, Orlando Chavez, Colin Statt, Esteban Juarez and Chase Croteau combined to make 22 catches and consistently put pressure on Glendale defensive backs. Glendale scored first in the game but North Pointe answered with a long scoring drive of their own. Colin Statt capped off the drive with a two point conversion catch to even the score at eight points a piece. The Falcon defense was aggressive early as David Brown and Tyrice Murphy each intercepted Glendale passes. The defense held Glendale to 8 points in the first half. The score remained tied at 8-8 until midway through the third quarter when Glendale scored a rushing touchdown and was able to rush for another late on a heavy hearted Falcon defense to make the final score 28-8.
Wide receiver Toby Wiley had an eye opening game with 9 catches for 186 yards.
Coach Brigham said, “Although it was upsetting to lose it was encouraging to see continued growth and production as an offensive and defensive football team tonight.”
